A warm front is lifting through the region this morning. This will provide gusty southwest flow to the region, leading to highs in the mid 80s this afternoon. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect across the region as the gusty southwest winds may be enhanced over open bodies of water.
An isolated shower or storm may be possible during the late afternoon and evening hours. The severe weather threat should remain north of the region as shown in the graphic below. Overnight lows will drop into the mid 60s.
Another hot day is expected on Thursday as a cold front exits the region to the north, leading to sustained southwest flow. Once again highs will be in the mid 80s, though we may even creep into the upper 80s by the afternoon. Overnight lows will once again drop into the mid 60s.
An upper level ridge will move into the region on Friday. This, combined with continued southwest flow will lead to hot conditions. Highs will top out in the upper 80s.
That should wrap up this forecast. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
