It seems the snow event didn’t quite pan out in much of the Jackson Purchase region of west Kentucky. I mentioned the potential for heavy snow closer to the Ohio River, and it seems that did occur. Original thinking that snow would fall quick enough to accumulate despite warm ground temperatures, didn’t pan out as expected.
Temperatures will remain chilly today, only warming into the mid 40s despite partly cloudy skies. This will be the theme for the next few days. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 20s.
A backdoor cold front will move through Monday night. This will lead to a reinforcing cold shot Tuesday. Highs will once again top out in the mid 40s despite partly cloudy skies. Tuesday night lows will drop all the way back into the mid 20s.
Chilly temperatures continue Wednesday as highs top out into the mid to upper 40s under mostly sunny skies. Lows will drop back into the mid 30s. Warmer temperatures are expected to end the week!
That should wrap up this forecast. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
