Temperatures are fairly mild to start the day, in the mid to upper 40s. Don’t get used to it though. Stout northerly winds around 10 mph will usher in colder temperatures this afternoon.
A few showers will be likely today, especially late this morning and into the afternoon. A better chance of heavier rain lies to the southeast of the region.
Temperatures will drop into the mid 30s tonight with a chance of rain continuing. The freezing rain concerns seem to be to the west and north of the region, so I don’t expect any tonight. The National Weather Service agrees.
Rain will likely continue Sunday morning before waning after noon. Temperatures will be cold, despite decreasing clouds in the afternoon. Highs will only top out in the mid to upper 30s.
A chance of a wintry mix may be possible Sunday night as lows drop into the mid 20s. Accumulations, if any, will be light.
Watch for a few slick spots Monday morning as the cold temperatures may cause a few patches of black ice to form. Overall, a warmer day is forecast Monday as highs top out in the low 40s under partly cloudy skies. Take what you can get.
That should wrap up this forecast. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
