Conditions will get bitterly cold tonight. As of 8 PM, the temperature in Draffenville was 22°, which is about two or three degrees colder than predicted by most weather models. The HRRR model, which ran at 6 PM, suggested an 8 PM temperature of 25°.
This leads me to believe that low temperatures will actually be a bit colder than originally thought. I wouldn’t be too shocked to see lows drop all the way to around 10°. Combine that with a light north breeze, the temperature may feel more like -4° by 6 AM.
I’d suggest letting some water drip from your faucets overnight to avoid freezing your pipes…just in case. Other than that, definitely be sure to bring outdoor pets inside and bundle up for the morning commute!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a warm night!
