Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re inside and enjoying time with family on this cold Christmas morning. Afternoon highs will only top out around 33°!
The cold weather sets the stage for some light snowfall this evening and overnight. Snow showers will begin to form around 9 PM and continue off and on in the overnight hours. Light accumulations generally less than an inch can be expected so use caution if traveling tonight. below is the Hi-res NAM from 6 PM This evening to 6 AM Tuesday.
The National Weather Service released the following statement about snow showers this evening. I often find that it can be the low accumulation events that lead to more accidents.
I’m also monitoring chances of wintry precipitation on Thursday and again around New Year’s Day. That should wrap up this short update! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
