Cold Next Few Days

Cold conditions are expected for the next few days. Some flurries may even be possible this morning. Temperatures are currently around 40°, but should continue to fall throughout the day thanks to northwest surface winds.

Temperatures tonight will bottom out into the low 20s under mostly clear skies.

Gusty southwest winds will move into the region on Wednesday ahead of yet another clipper system. This will “warm” temperatures back to around 50° by the afternoon hours. The GFS model says we may even reach 52° by 3 PM.

However, The cold front associated with the clipper will likely move through Wednesday evening and overnight. This will lead to overnight lows in the lows 30s and upper 20s. A few snow showers or flurries may be possible Thursday morning. Here’s the Hi-Res NAM Model.

Thursday will remain chilly thanks to northwest flow. In fact, Thursday’s weather will be very similar to today. Highs are only expected to recover into the low 40s. The GFS Model below shows the overall weather setup.

That should wrap up this forecast. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
