Nice & Mild Today
Temperatures dropped to around 27° last night under clear skies! Much colder than expected! However, temperatures should rebound nicely today under sunny skies. Afternoon highs will likely top out around 55°.
Clouds may increase some overnight, which will keep temperatures a bit more mild. Lows will probably be around 38°.
Warm Saturday & Sunday
Early morning clouds should move out of the region by noon on Saturday. This will lead to yet another warm day. Temperatures will likely make a run at 60° by the afternoon hours. Quite an ideal day for outdoor adventures!
Temperatures on Saturday night will drop to around 38° under mostly clear skies.
Sunday will bring more warm weather to the region. Southerly surface flow will begin to increase ahead of a strong storm system to the west of the area. This will lead to afternoon highs around 63° under partly cloudy skies. Southerly winds will be around 5 mph.
Early Week Warmth -> Getting Cold
Monday will be the warmest day in this stretch as a strong cold front is expected to move through the region Tuesday morning. Monday afternoon temperatures could top out in the mid to upper 60s.
There’s some discrepancy in the models regarding the timing of rainfall across the region. The GFS model suggests rainfall begins Monday evening and lasts through much of Tuesday. The European Model suggests rainfall begins Monday morning and lasts through Tuesday morning. The GFS model would produce more rain versus the faster European model. All in all, I think anywhere from 0.5″ to 1.5″ of rain will be possible.
Cold air will quickly usher into the region, leading to temperatures dropping throughout the day on Tuesday. Morning temperatures in the upper 50s will give way to temperatures around 50° by early afternoon. Cold then settles in for the foreseeable future.
