Today – Mostly Sunny – High 55° / Tonight – Mostly Cloudy – Low 43°

Temperatures got much colder than expected last night. Temperatures dropped all the way to 31° in Draffenville!

Low Temperatures – Kentucky Mesonet

Patchy fog will be possible this morning, but after that dissipates, expect mostly sunny skies across the area. Highs should work their way back up to around 55°.

Mostly cloudy skies will form ahead of our next weather system tonight. Lows will drop to around 43°.

Wednesday – Rainy – High 53° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 39°

A cold front will approach the region on Wednesday. This will lead to rainy conditions across the region. Highs will struggle into the low 50s. Kind of a raw day on tap.

Hi-Res NAM Simulated Radar – Valid 4 AM to 6 PM Wednesday

The front should move through by Wednesday night. This will leave us with gradual clearing for most of the night. Lows will drop to around 39°.

High pressure will settle into the region on Thursday. This will lead to partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 50s. Overall, not too shabby!

Partly cloudy skies will continue Thursday night. Lows will drop to right around 40°.

Weather Hazards

Severe Weather

I’m still eyeing Friday as a potential strong to severe storm day. However, moisture return behind Wednesday’s cold front is in question. At the very least, gusty winds of 30 to 35 mph will be possible, as well as a few showers. We’ll see how the forecast evolves over the coming days.

Wintry Weather

No wintry weather is expected over the next seven days.
